Verdict: Keep We'll be analyzing all 5 lands in the "Checkland" cycle here, Drowned Catacomb, Rootbound Crag, Sunpetal Grove, Glacial Fortress, and Dragonskull Summit. The other dual land cycles currently in standard, the Kaladesh "Fastlands" and Amonkhet "Cyclelands," offer higher upside than these but in terms of consistent mana fixing are outclassed by the Checklands. Barring an unforseen reprint such as shocklands in the next set, the checklands will be the most commonly played duals in standard for the next year or so, making them a good pickup. They are also popular in casual formats where basic lands to activate them are more common and they are cheaper than most alternative lands. | ||||
